Arthur T. Phelps, D.C.
Dr. Art Phelps opened Lakewood Chiropractic Offices in 1978. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the State University of New York.
Dr. Phelps has been a leader in the chiropractic community for more than 30 years. He served as President, Vice President, and Treasurer of the Jefferson County Chiropractic Society. He also worked as the State Chairperson for ACA-PAC, the political action committee for the American Chiropractic Association. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Preferred Chiropractic Incorporated, an independent physicians’ association.
Dr. Phelps is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the International Sports Sciences Association (Certified Fitness Trainer), the Colorado Chiropractic Association, the Jefferson County Chiropractic Society, and the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research. He is licensed in both Colorado and California.
James M. Phelps, D.C.
Dr. Jim Phelps has been at Lakewood Chiropractic Offices since 1986. He earned both his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. Dr. Phelps also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature from the State University of New York.
Dr. Phelps served as Co-chairperson, Vice President, and Secretary of the Jefferson County Chiropractic Society. He also served for three years on the Board of Directors and for two years as the Membership Committee Chairperson of the Colorado Chiropractic Association. Dr. Phelps was the sole author of Hands-On Health, a patient education newsletter distributed nationwide through Nordhaus Marketing Services, Santa Monica, California.
Dr. Phelps is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the Colorado Chiropractic Association, the Jefferson County Chiropractic Society, and the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research.
